ABOUT ME!

Marc Shyst (1)_edited_edited.png

Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Marc Shyst carved his path as a Hip Hop Prophet, an artist whose voice is prophetic, raw, and undeniably authentic. His discography stretches back to 2005, with standout albums like Vision Coming True and The Tupac Code, an album that also serves as the official soundtrack to his book of the same name. His catalog includes head-banging singles such as Big Bank Roll, Get You Together, and Mask & Gloves, while his latest release, In The Ghetto, fuses Go-Go with hip hop in a way that reflects the heartbeat of his city.

Marc’s creative force doesn’t stop at music. On screen, he has proven himself a versatile actor, taking on leading roles and crafting soundtracks that expand his artistry. He starred in African American Psycho on Tubi, not only leading the film but also creating its entire soundtrack. In the upcoming film "The Girl That Got Glue Stuck in Her Hair" (Tubi, Sept. 2025), Marc takes center stage again, with his single "Glue Stuck" featured on the soundtrack. He also stars in "Georgia Peach" and a soon-to-be-released D.C.-based crime drama "Informant" where he plays a lead detective, with his song "Informant" serving as the soundtracks go-go-infused theme.

Marc’s journey began with his first starring role in the feature film "17 Days", acting alongside Miguel Núñez and Omar Gooding. Since then, he has appeared in HBO’s "We Own This City" as a uniformed officer, STARZ’s "BMF" as an entourage member, and "Creed II" as a clubgoer. On stage, he got his start in the stage play "Poor Man Rich Soul", before stepping into digital screens as the lead in the "Red Hook Series", where he also contributed the single "Red Hook (Brooklyn)" to the soundtrack.

Beyond the stage and screen, Marc is also an author. His book, "The Tupac Code" (available now on Amazon), dives into the philosophies, lessons, and legacy of Tupac Shakur, with his album of the same name serving as its powerful soundtrack.

With music streaming worldwide, films on major platforms, and a growing presence as both a rapper, actor, and author, Marc Shyst continues to live up to his title as the Hip Hop Prophet, delivering truth, entertainment, and culture in every form of his art.
